500-09x Electronics-grade Alkoxy Silicone (1-part sealant)

500-09x Electronics-grade Alkoxy Silicone (1-part sealant)

500-090, 500-091, and 500-092 are a family of UL-rated electronics adhesives. These one-part UL flame rated pastes are for applications that require superior bond strength and flame resistance. As one of our 500 Series Electronics-grade silicones, 500-09x is a neutral cure (alkoxy), UL flame rated paste with a good balance of tensile strength and elongation, available in white and black. It’s a ready-to-use, room temperature moisture cured silicone that cures to a tough, resilient rubber. When a non-corrosive product is required, this is an alternate unprimed adhesive solution that:

  • Delivers a more uniform bond
  • Acts like a gasket to protect against moisture and dust
  • Helps dampen vibrations

500-09x comes in paste form, skins over in 8 minutes, and is completely cured within 72 hours. Specially formulated to retain its physical properties even during service in extreme environmental conditions, it is ideal for applications that require superior bond strength and flame resistance. 500-092 (black) is UL94 V0 rated.

    Product information:

Novagard’s 500 series moisture-cure conformal coatings and sealants achieve primer-less adhesion to aluminum, polycarbonate, glass, and steel. The inside-out cure provides longer working times and low odor, and are free of solvents with no isocyanates. Designed primarily for industrial applications, these materials are well suited to sealing and bonding applications to a wide variety of plastic and non-porous substrates.

Certain materials, chemicals, curing agents, and plasticizers may inhibit the cure. The most notable are organotin catalysts, amino compounds, polysulfide, and other sulfur-containing materials. Do not use in or around highly oxidative chemicals such as liquid oxygen, chlorine, or peroxides. Not recommended for surfaces that are to be painted.

    Applications:

    • Frame and junction box sealant in photovoltaic modules
    • Sensitive electronic components and circuit boards
    • General industrial sealing and bonding applications requiring a non- corrosive product
